Is Coney Island a good place to live?

Coney Island appeals to buyers who want affordable, oceanfront living with beach and boardwalk access year-round. Its housing is largely co-ops and apartments, including large established complexes, at prices well below most of Brooklyn. Residents enjoy the beach, the amusement district, MCU Park and the Cyclones, and a diverse community, with the D, F, N, and Q trains connecting north to the rest of the city. The trade-offs are a long commute and a far-southern location, but for waterfront value, Coney Island is hard to match.
