Is Sea Gate safe?

Sea Gate is considered one of the more secure neighborhoods in Brooklyn, in large part because it is a private, gated community with controlled access and its own dedicated security force, the Sea Gate Police. The gated entrances, private streets, and strong, tight-knit community contribute to a quiet, safe, residential atmosphere. As with any neighborhood, common-sense awareness is sensible, but Sea Gate's private, controlled setting makes it one of the more security-focused places to live in the borough.
