Where is Kensington and what is it like?

Kensington is a central Brooklyn neighborhood located just south and west of Prospect Park, bordered by Windsor Terrace, Park Slope, Ditmas Park, and Borough Park. It has a quiet, residential character, with tree-lined streets of rowhouses and semi-detached homes mixed with apartment buildings, and busy, diverse commercial strips along Church and Coney Island Avenues. Served by the F and G trains, it offers good access to the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Overall it feels like a calm, affordable, richly diverse neighborhood near the park.
