Where is Sheepshead Bay and is it in South Brooklyn?

Sheepshead Bay is a waterfront neighborhood in the southern part of Brooklyn, bordered by Brighton Beach and Manhattan Beach to the south, Gravesend to the west, and Marine Park and Gerritsen Beach to the east. It is generally considered part of southern Brooklyn, sitting along the shoreline near Coney Island. It takes its name from the bay itself, an inlet off the Atlantic. The B and Q subway lines serve the neighborhood, connecting it north through Brooklyn and into Manhattan.
