Williamsburg's commute to Manhattan is one of the fastest in Brooklyn thanks to its proximity. The L train reaches Union Square in about 10 minutes. The J, M, and Z lines via the Williamsburg Bridge serve Lower Manhattan. The G train connects Williamsburg to Queens and other Brooklyn neighborhoods. Beyond subway, you can take the East River Ferry, drive over the Williamsburg Bridge into the Lower East Side, or bike across in under 15 minutes. Few neighborhoods give you this many transit options.
